💬 This bird can be found year-round in most of South America and the southern part of Costa Rica (Puntarenas and Guanacaste), as well as in the southwestern part of Nicaragua. It lives primarily in open areas such as grasslands and riverbanks, where it often perches conspicuously, either singly, in pairs, or in small family groups.
