Preparation: Blend tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, ice, and a little sweetener until slushy. Rim the glass with salt, pour, and garnish with lime.

– Late 1930s-1940s
– Developed in northern Mexico, entered the US in the 1940s–50s and Exploded in popularity in the 1970s with the invention of the frozen margarita machine.
